Noah Davis: Exhibition Tour with Curator Wells Fray-Smith

Noah Davis: Talks and Events

A painting of Davis's wife Karon, holding two golden wings at her sides, reminiscent of a winged goddess. She is in front of the grey wooden wall of the house, and the branches of tree looming over her. By her side there's a box and an old appliance.

Join curator Wells Fray-Smith on this exhibition tour, highlighting Davis’s use of found photography and images of friends and family as source material for his exuberant paintings of everyday life.

Noah Davis believed that his pictures had a ‘responsibility to represent the people around me.’ Celebrating the late artist’s expansive creativity, this debut retrospective showcases Noah Davis as one of the most original and uncanny painters emerging in recent years.

Please arrive 10 minutes before the tour starts and meet outside the exhibition entrance in the Level 3 foyer. Large bags must be checked into the cloakroom. The tour will begin promptly at 6.30pm.
